The Kansas City Star has chosen the top performers among 54 different public companies and two of the top eleven are based in Topeka.

The Kansas City Star has chosen the top performers among 54 different public companies and two of the top eleven are based in Topeka.
Westar energy rounded out the top ten at number ten with six percent revenue growth, $178 million in income.
Capitol Federal following next at number eleven with three percent revenue growth, posting $57 million dollars of income in 2008.
Collective Brands landed the number 28 spot with 13 percent growth in revenue, but its income growth plunging more than 260 percent.
