More than 30 TEA parties broke out around Kansas Wednesday.
The events were part of a nationwide effort. TEA stands for "Taxed Enough Already," with the acronym bringing to mind the Boston Tea Party protest over taxes of 1773.
In Lyndon, the TEA party stretched througout the day. Participants took turns lining the street, holding signs that spread their message that the government could spend their tax dollars more efficiently.
In Wichita, more than a thousand people gathered for an afternoon rally at Mid-Continent Airport. As with most of the demonstrations, it featured creative signs and props, including a toilet with money taped to the bowl, saying tax dollars could be deposited there.
In Manhattan, the Riley County Courthouse Plaza was dubbed "Boston Harbor" by one sign. Dozens of people gathered for the Little Apple's TEA party. Other signs urged an end to big government.

You writers need to do some footwork. There were over 1500 TEA Party attendees last evening across from the post office annex, where people were mailing their taxes. As a teacher I'd make you do your homework over and stay after class to do it!!!
The idiots seem to me to be those who sit back and bow to the throne of President Zero while he throws trillions at ridiculous 'stimulus' that will only stimulate his cronies (Frank, Todd, Pelosi) and their pork projects. Your Messiah did not win by 78% fool, and anyone with sense does not chortle while a self-appointed king throws away a nation's future. Of course zealots like Dems4ever show that blind party loyalty no matter what is still alive and well. Talk about idiots....
Democrats, you need to learn that the two party system sucks. Left and Right doesn't matter, they play the same game. The tea parties are only the beginning of a bigger revolution thats on its way.
