Bicyclist Injured After Struck By Car
A bicycle rider is in the hospital with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle.

A bicycle rider is in the hospital with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle.
The Shawnee County Sheriff's office said they responded to the call around 4:15 Sunday afternoon.
It happened at 53rd and Berryton.
No word on how the accident happened, officials say the victim was a male and he was taken to Saint Francis.

i am surprised that it has not happened more often i drive a lot of Kansas back roads and most roads are not wide enough to have two oncoming cars meet let a lone a bike rider and i have become acutely aware that a lot of bike riders are not going to give or move over, they are suppose to obay the rules of the road and some don't, this is not to say all bike riders are not good at following the rules of the road it is my opinion that people who are over 18 years of age should have to have a license insurance and policed just like an auto
