Attorney General Steve Six is warning consumers about the latest scam. In a news release Friday, Six says the scam tries to convince people that they have qualified for a portion of President Obama's economic stimulus package.
He says it can be done either by pop-up adds on your computer or in email messages. When someone clicks on the links or opens the emails, they are directed to scam websites.
Six says these are only attempts to steal funds from your bank account or your identity.
