Several fire crews worked to put out a blaze in Americus Sunday night.
Fire units from Americus, Emporia, Dunlap and Admire were called to a house fire just before 5:30pm Sunday. It happened at 521 Road 240.

Fire damage was confined to a bedroom and exterior of the home. There was also smoke and water damage throughout the house. The fire started in the area of a corn stove. No one was home at the time of the fire.
