Authorities say they got a call Thursday from construction crews working on a house at 241 NW Maple St. saying they had found what appeared to be a human skull.

Police arrived on scene and immediately called in the coroners office to examine the skull. They say they believe a doctor had lived in the house years ago.

The sheriff's office says they do plan to follow up with the previous owners of the home.
