Tips Needed in Unsolved Topeka Murder
Topeka Police are putting out a request for the public's helping solving a nearly year-old homicide. Michael Holley died after being shot several times outside of Deep Pockets Billiards, 4310 SW 21st St., overnight February 23, 2008.

TOPEKA, Kan. - Topeka Police Detectives are asking for assistance from the public in solving one of Topeka’s past unsolved homicides.

On Saturday morning, February 23, 2008, at about 1:54 am, Topeka Police were dispatched to Deep Pockets Billiards at 4310 SW 21st Street reference a shooting outside the business.

Upon arrival at the business officers observed several subjects standing around a white passenger car parked on the east side of the business. Officers determined that the driver of that vehicle had been shot several times. The victim was transported to Stormont Vail Hospital by ARM.

The victim later died at the hospital due to the gunshot wounds he received. The victim, a 24-year-old black male, was identified as Michael H. Holley of Topeka.
