Two people are behind bars in Jackson County after leading officers on a high speed chase Wednesday morning.

Jackson County Chief Detective Al Dunn says it started when a home owner interrupted a burglary at his home near 134th and 75 highway around 10:30 a.m.

The suspects drove off but the victim followed. Kansas Highway Patrol, Shawnee County, Jackson and Jefferson counties joined the efforts in the chase. They caught up with the suspects in Jefferson County at K-4 and 62nd street between around 11:30 a.m.
