HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) _ A 73-year-old man suspected of soliciting sex from a 10-year-old Hutchinson girl has died in a Pennsylvania prison.

State prison officials say Joseph Hydock of Wernersville, Pa., died Saturday in Berks County Prison while serving time for possessing child pornography. Hydock allegedly posed as a 12-year-old boy on the Internet in the Kansas case.

He was sentenced to two years in prison on the Pennsylvania charge, and had waived extradition to Kansas.

In July 2007, the girl's mother found that her daughter had been communicating on the Internet with a supposed 12-year-old boy, ``Joey.'' But the woman called police when ``Joey'' phoned their home asking for the girl's information, making sexual references and saying he might come to Kansas.

Police contacted the suspect through a phone number on the Hutchinson family's caller ID.
