Residents of Marysville will soon get to voice whether or not they approve of a county-wide smoking ban.

The Marysville advocate reported Wednesday that the Marshall County commissioners want to know what communities think about smoking in public places.

The newspaper reports that in a meeting Tuesday commissioners agreed to place a non-binding question on the April election ballot to voice their opinion on the matter.

From those votes, commissioners and council members hope to gain a better idea of whether or not people would support a county wide ban.

Twenty-nine states have already passed smoking bans.
