Fort Riley, Kan. – Families can leave the cooking to the Army food service this Thanksgiving holiday and enjoy the traditional holiday meal for a reasonable price at post dining facilities.

Soldiers not receiving an allowance for separate rations eat free. Soldiers in pay grades E-1 through E-4 pay a discounted price of $5.40 per person.

Soldiers in pay grades E-5 and higher and their guests pay $6.35 per person. Three dining facilities will cater to families wanting to join Soldiers for the traditional holiday meal.

For Soldiers, Family members and civilians who want to celebrate the Thanksgiving Day meal early, a holiday meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team dining facility, Building 8063.

The Main Post dining facility, Building 251, Dagger dining facility, Building 7673 and Camp Funston’s Hell’s Kitchen, Building 1865 will serve the holiday meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 27.

Additionally, Soldiers, Families and guests are invited to attend the Thanksgiving Day combined worship service at the Morris Hill Chapel at 10 a.m. on Nov. 27.
