A Topeka-area principal earned honors as the best in the state.

The Kansas Association of Secondary School Principals named Ron Vinduska of Seaman High School as its MetLife High School Principal of the Year. Vinduska was nominated and selected by his peers from across the state.

He's in his seventh year as Seaman's principal. He was assistant principal and athletic director before that.

The award was presented last week at a conference in Wichita.
