WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Two 12-year-old girls are hospitalized with serious injuries suffered when they were accidentally run over by a Bobcat utility vehicle.

Police said a man was driving the Bobcat with three girls in the front bucket at a work site Saturday night. The driver told police that the girls fell out of the loader, but he didn't realize it and ran over two of them.

Police said one of the injured girls suffered a shattered pelvis, and the other a severed liver. The third girl -- a 15-year-old -- was not injured.

Police said the man did not live at the property and it was unknown how he had access to the Bobcat.
