LAWRENCE - Perennial presidential candidate Ralph Nader draws about 400 people to a campaign rally in Lawrence.
The longtime consumer advocate is on the ballot in Kansas as an
independent candidate this year.
Nader has strongly criticized the $700 billion financial
industry bailout enacted by Congress. At his Lawrence event
Thursday evening, he called it ``cowardly.'' He said Congress
should have gone after ``Wall Street crooks.''
He also continued his criticism of how presidential debates have
been organized to exclude him and other candidates outside the two
major parties.
In his run for president in 1996, Nader wasn't on the ballot in
Kansas. But he was in 2000 and 2004.
