I was worried too, did a check into it. Yes they do allow section 8, but you also can not have a felony or bad credit. And when i asked about unsavories movin in i was told they have the option to not renew a lease at they're discression. the ladys where nice to me and my kids. The income thing is a bummer though, they are section 42, so its a federal thing not just a decission made by management, (tax credits). I hope it turns out nice, no reason for only the spouled to get to go to a nice school.

Ghetto housing in the Seaman District

How can they say "low income"? A family of 3 can't make more than $32,000, a 2 bed room is $650. My family lives on $37,000 and with the cost of everything right now our $375 rent is hard some months. I want some housing in Topeka that is for the people like us and alot of other people that are stuck in the middle.

These are yes indeed section 8 and low income housing. There goes North Topeka too. The apartments are very tiny and the managment do not seem to be very nice. I do not make much money but I am way over qualified to live there, just beware those women in that office seem unfriendly to say the least.

Let's hope that affordable doesn't mean welfare. Seaman is getting as bad as 501 with the trailer trash. And more are going to be built on Rochester and Topeka Blvd. Thank goodness my kids are almost graduated. There are enough hoods at Seaman, we don't need anymore!

The apartments appear to be very nice right now. Let's hope they don't end up like Newtown did years ago with murder, drugs etc. and then were torn down. We have a nice/safe neighborhood, we'd like to keep it this way.

It says affordable. Does that mean section 8 or low income housing?
