Chinese candy, possibly tainted with melamine, has found its way to the Sunflower State. White Rabbit Candy has been recalled by its manufacturer, QFCO Inc., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture.

The Ag Department has asked all retailers to pull the product from their shelves.

When QFCO Inc. initially recalled the candy last week,seven states were listed in which the candy was distributed. Kansas was not among those states, but the Ag Dept. confirmed it was available in two ethnic markets in Topeka and Kansas City.

In a statement, QFCO Inc. stated it would recall all varieties of candies, including White Rabbit Creamy candy, sold in 8 and 16 oz. packages, and its White Rabbit Candy in Assorted (Chocolate, Coconut, and Coffee), Red Bean, Coffee, corn, Lychee, mango, and Strawberry flavors, which are sold in 7 oz. packages.

All packages have a logo of a white rabbit on the the front and are labelled "White Rabbit."
