Attorney General Steve Six is warning Kansans to beware of a possible scam involving voter registration.

Scammers may email or call you asking for your social security number or financial information to register you to vote or confirm your registration.

The Attorney General's Office says as a rule, organizations doing legitimate registration drives will contact you in person or give you a form to fill out yourself.

If you get such a call or email file a complaint with the Attorney General's consumer protection division at www.KSAG.org
