Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offered a program to help people with diabetes tonight.

The What's Cookin' with Diabetes program is a partnership with the K-State extension office and Prime Therapeutics.

They offered educational information on nutrition and healthy food samples at the event. Also on hand this evening was a certified diabetic educator to help explain healthy choices.

This is the program's fourth year, but the first time they have come into a metropolitan area. It is also the third year the program is also offered in spanish.
