Blue is going green - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas that is.

The company is taking initiatives to adopt more environmentally friendly practices.

Besides installing energy efficient light bulbs and recycling cafeteria materials, the company is also giving all employees a refillable cup to use when getting drinks from the cafeteria. BCBS says the move will cut down on the tens of thousands of styrofoam cups it goes through a year!

BCBS is also making more recycling centers in all of its Topeka buildings.
