In a couple of weeks -- a hometown store benefiting veterans closes its doors for good.
For those that work at the Disabled American Veterans thrift shop, their shocked and sad to say goodbye to customers they've come so close to know and love.
With the ecomony in a slump, not enough products or consumers coming into the thrift store; the disabled american veterans association has no other choice but to shut this store down.
The thrift shop is scheduled to close September 30th. It's the only one in Topeka...leaving one in Kansas City and Leavenworth.
