In a couple of weeks -- a hometown store benefiting veterans closes its doors for good.

Are you sad to see the thrift shop go?
Yes
No
No opinion

For those that work at the Disabled American Veterans thrift shop, their shocked and sad to say goodbye to customers they've come so close to know and love.

With the ecomony in a slump, not enough products or consumers coming into the thrift store; the disabled american veterans association has no other choice but to shut this store down.

The thrift shop is scheduled to close September 30th. It's the only one in Topeka...leaving one in Kansas City and Leavenworth.

Yes I am sorry to hear that the store is closing but I also want to say that I have came to Topeka several time to shop for my daughter at thrift stores for her children. I did not even know this store was there. Maybe if people know it was there they would have shopped there.
