A Topeka man was taken to the hospital and arrested after an early morning accident in the 2500 block of SE California.

29-year-old Jimmy A. Hendricks hit a light pole about 2:50 a.m. near 2610 SE California. He had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries according to Topeka Police.

He was later booked on charges including driving under the influence, littering and transporting a loaded weapon.
