TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Kansas Speedway says it will add a road course to its infield if it gets the contract to manage the state-owned casino in Wyandotte County.
The speedway made the announcement Monday, two weeks after saying it would seek a second NASCAR Sprint Cup series race if it got the casino. The complex would be located near the southeast corner of
the speedway.
Kansas Entertainment -- which includes the speedway -- is among four applicants for the management contract.
The state casino review board will decide next month who gets the contracts for Wyandotte and Ford counties.
On Friday, it picked Harrah's Entertainment for the Sumner County casino and Penn National Gaming for Cherokee County.
