The trial of former Westar executives needs to move forward quickly.

That's according to federal prosecutors in Topeka who want an appeals court to expedite a ruling that could determine if David Wittig and Douglas Lake will go on trial September 9th as scheduled.

In a filing at a Federal Appeals Court in Denver, the prosecutors said they don't want the case and witnesses "to remain in limbo."

Am so tired of these white collar criminals getting a slap on the hand and complaining about having to serve their time. (And we, the westar customer continue to have to foot the bill for their legal fees.) Wittig and Lake put your big boy pants on and serve your time. Stop trying to get out of it. If I had my say you'd had double the amount of time with no chance for parole or probation.
