TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A state board picking the managers of four state-owned casinos is finishing a series of meetings around Kansas
this week.
The Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board plans three days of hearings starting Wednesday in Wyandotte County. It will hear from applicants Wednesday and Thursday at Kansas City Community College and from the public on Friday.
The expanded gambling law enacted last year creates one casino in each of four counties, with each to be managed by a developer.
The seven-member board will pick who builds the casino and manages it for the state under a 15-year contract.
