Topeka, KS (WIBW)--New details in the shooting investigation in which an off duty Topeka Police officer is charged with shooting two brothers in southwest Topeka.
It was just last week that one of four off duty officers was arrested on battery charges. Topeka Police Officer Jason Judd was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated battery in the March shootings of two brothers in southwest Topeka.
13 News has obtained the Shawnee County Sheriffs incident report for the March 13th shooting, in the offense report detectives indicated that Judd was suspected of having used alcohol at the time of the shooting. The report also states that Judd was in possession of a glock 8 millimeter automatic hand gun, which he reportedly fired 3 times.
13 news reported earlier that Judd and three other off duty officers appeared at a party on SW 25th street. An argument over loud music followed and 27-year-old Daniel Llamas and younger brother 18-year-old Devin Llamas were shot; both have recovered from their wounds.
The other three officers who Topeka Police have not identified remain on paid administrative leave while the Sheriff's Office continue its investigation.
Judd has posted $25,000 bond and appears in Shawnee County District Court before Judge Nancy Parish on August 6th.

Having known Judd... there's a reason...
If Topeka is a dump it's because good people don't stand up when they see something wrong. All four of these officers have some serious questions to answer about there actions that night and if they are guilty of crimes or violating department rules they should face the consequences. I have complete faith in the Sheriffs investigation just as I would if the KBI or Highway patrol had conducted the investigation. There are some great officers in Topeka, there are some average officers in Topeka, there are some officers in Topeka that might be better suited to other employment. We need to make sure the good ones get rewarded and the bad ones get retrained or dismissed. And innocent until proven guilty? You get that from the judge, not from the police or public opinion.
Topeka is a dump
