If Barack Obama is talking to her, Gov. Kathleen Sebelius isn't saying.

The Governor held a news conference Friday to talk about her recent trip to the Farnborough Air Show near London promoting the state's aviation industry. Questions quickly turned to speculation that she's being considered as Obama's running mate.

Sebelius says all questions about who Obama's meeting with and a timeline for making the VP choice are being referred to his selection committee. However, she says she's doing what she can to help him get elected. The next step in doing so is the Democratic National Convention, of which Sebelius is a co-chairperson.

Sebelius says she believes Obama will look for a running mate who will be a good partner, someone who "shares his vision" and is able to reach across the aisle and work with people from all parties. Sebelius says she'll support whoever he chooses and is confident he'll make a good decision.

As she has often since the speculation stirred, Sebelius said she believes being governor of a state is the best job there is. However, she also said she thinks this is a critical time for the country and states want a partner in Washington.

As for the air show, Sebelius says competition for aviation business is tough but Kansas remains well-positioned in the global market. She says the aviation industry means billions of dollars for the state.
