TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ Consultants for the state casino review board say Harrah's proposed casino for Sumner County would generate more money than two other plans.
Harrah's is among three casino companies vying for the contract to manage the state-owned facility. The others are Marvel Gaming and Penn National Gaming.
The casino review board begins two days of meetings Thursday to hear from the consultants and casino companies.
The board will decide in August who gets the management contracts in Sumner and Cherokee counties. In September, it will make the same decisions for Wyandotte and Ford counties.
