With temperatures nudging 100 degrees there is only one place to be for several Topeka residents, the swimming pool. The forecast continues to soar into the high 90's for the work week prompting doctors to warn people to take extra precautions to avoid the heat.

If You're Out In The Sun:

*Try to get some time in the shade
*Drink Lots of fluids
*Try to avoid excessive exposure
*If you feel weak/dizzy see a doctor

Beating The Heat Indoors:

*Use a cool wash cloth on your body
*Use air conditioning/fans
*If you're on medication be especially careful
*Stay away from eating heavy and hot foods
