Fiesta Mexicana is famous for many things. Being charitable. Bringing the community together. But one event stands out every year, and its the jalapeno eating contest!

Your 2008 winner is Jose Bernardo, after scarfing down 21 peppers. Was it worth it? He didn't feel the greatest after, but did pull down a nice $500.

I hope they dont get sick considering they are linking the samonella cases with jalepeno peppers. Espically if someone ate a lot of them. They should have re thought that. But if they were home grown by some body by all means have at it for $500.

I don't know how those people can eat those peppers. I bet they needed a cool mister on their toilet bowls.
