TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A Kansas man has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about whether he witnessed a drunken, racial incident at a graduation party last year.

Prosecutors say a May 2007 attack on a black high school student in Waterville was an attempt to drive the student out of the area. The victim has been identified only by the initials J.L.

U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren said Andrew S. Ralph lied to the FBI when he said he hadn't witnessed the incident.

The 21-year-old Concordia resident, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Topeka to making a false statement to a federal investigator. His sentencing is Oct. 15.

The victim was tied to a chair and had his arms and legs spray painted white. Partygoers made racial slurs at him and urinated on him.

IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT COLOR YOU ARE OR WHERE YOU LIVE WE ARE ALL THE SAME IN THE INSIDE. GOD MADE US DIFFRENT SO THAT THERE WOULD BE DIVERSTY IN OUR LIVES AND NOT THE SAME OLD STUFF. GET A LIFE AND TEACH YOUR KIDS RIGHT FROM WORNG,.
