Topeka Police say a shooting Wednesday night appears to have been an accident.

It happened in a home in the 2400 block of SW Edgewater around 8 pm Wednesday. Police say two people were looking at a handgun when it went off. A 52-year old woman was shot in the foot. The other person in the home took her to the hospital. The injury was not considered life-threatening.
