Jackson County now has a fund set up to help people there affected by a string of tornadoes that rolled through Kansas June 11th.

George Askren was killed when the storm hit the rural area where he lived between Soldier and Circleville. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says 32 homes were damaged, most in the Soldier area.

Contributions may be made to the Soldier Tornado Relief Fund, c/o Farmers State Bank, P.O. Box 465, Holton, KS 66436.
