LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) _ It's been 20 years, but Harold and Alberta Leach have not given up the search for their missing son.

Seventeen-year-old Randy Leach disappeared from a party at a farm home seven mile east of Linwood in April 1988.

Since then, the Leaches have tracked down hundreds of tips and clues, searched many areas around the house _ and still have no concrete idea of what happened to their son.

Witnesses say Randy drank too much at the party, but no one saw him leave the party.

Authorities believe someone knows what happened to Randy, but for some reason has been afraid to come forward.

The Leavenworth County sheriff's office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation reinvestigated the case in 2003. About two or three leads still come in every year, but the case remains an open missing persons case.

I Just want to say this story kind of sound like a story my family has In April of 2004. My cousion came up missing he was a party at a farm house oltha ks. People said he was drinking but no one saw him leave. The police seach the area and the creek and never found him. But one day the family got together and search the area and found his body in laying a creek were the so called police said the check. Know it has been 4 years and we still have no clue of who killed him r why but the remorse that we got was because he was black and he was in small town that did not like black people. We feel that some one knows what happen and they r just to scared to tell the truth. So my family know what this family is going threw.
