TOPEKA, KAN. – At a meeting of the Kansas Lottery Commission Wednesday, Lottery Executive Director Ed Van Petten announced that the Commission will hear presentations from developers seeking to become lottery gaming facility managers May 19-20 in Topeka.

The presentations will be made for developments proposed in the Southwest, South Central and Northeast gaming zones.

The presentations will be scheduled from 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 19, and from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20.

They will take place at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, located at 1717 S.W. Topeka Blvd. in Topeka, Kansas, and will be open to the public. A detailed schedule of the May 19-20 presentations is not yet available.

The deadline for the Kansas Lottery Commission to negotiate contracts with developers in the Southwest, South Central and Northeast gaming zones is May 27.

The deadline for the Southeast gaming zone, in which there is just one applicant, is May 5. The Southeast zone contract is being considered separately.

The Lottery will write contracts with all developers that qualify and forward those contracts to the seven-member Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board, which will select one developer for each of the four gaming zones.

Southwest Zone (Ford County)

Butler National Service Corp.

Dodge City Resort & Gaming Co.

South Central Zone (Sumner County)

Sumner Gaming Ventures

Sumner Gaming Joint Venture, L.C.

Penn National Gaming, Inc.

Marvel Gaming

Northeast Zone (Wyandotte County)

PNK-Kansas

Kansas Entertainment LLC

Golden Gaming

Legends Sun

Sands Kansas LLC

The next regular meeting of the Kansas Lottery Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, May 14, at 11:15 a.m. via phone conference.
