Topeka (WIBW) - The tools that built the Kansas Capitol are back at the Statehouse.
The tools were purchased by state Senator Mark Taddiken, R-Clifton, and Representative Elaine Bowers, R-Concordia. The two then donated them to the Kansas Historical Society.
They bought the tools at an auction from the grandson of someone who helped build the Capitol.
The original tools will be on display at the Statehouse during construction. The plan is to have them make their way to the visitors center when the renovations are complete.
