Manhattan Woman Charged With Killing Mother
A Manhattan woman faces 2nd degree murder charges for allegedly stabbing her 88-year-old mother Tuesday night. Riley County Police say it happened around 10 p.m. at 2814 Illinois Lane.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW)_ A Manhattan woman faces 2nd degree murder charges for allegedly stabbing her 88-year-old mother Tuesday night.
Riley County Police say it happened around 10 p.m. at 2814 Illinois Lane.
88-year-old June Smith was found there with severe stab wounds. She was taken to Mercy Regional Hospital where she died. Her daughter, 45-year-old Diane Washam was arrested at the scene and charged with murder.
Diane Washam is being held on a $100 thousand bond.
