Steve Feighny, a senior from state champion Hayden High School, signed a national letter of intent to attend Washburn this fall and play basketball for the Ichabod’s, head coach Bob Chipman announced Wednesday.

Feighny helped the Wildcats go 25-1 this year and win the Kansas Class 4A state championship. The 6-5 forward averaged 14.7 points a game and 5.3 rebounds and was named to the all-city and all-Class 4A teams. He was also second team all-league.
