We've run several "digital readiness tests" to make sure you (if you get our signal off-air) or your provider (whether satellite or cable) are ready for the big change to happen here for WIBW on February 16th at 6 p.m.
That's when we turn off our WIBW analog signal and turn on a new digital signal - and this really is a new digital signal. I don't want to get too technical, but every person getting our station off-air will have to re-scan their converter box or receiver after we start up the new digital channel.
What does it mean to rescan? We hope to make that easier for you to find out by going to our special web channel --- wibwrescan.com. Write this address down.
We'll have short videos walking you through rescanning your DISH network receiver or converter box. We'll also have trained operators standing by to assist you should you have problems.
They'll be working with your from the moment we power up the new transmitter to the end of our 10 p.m. news on Monday, February 16th.
You've been loyal watchers of WIBW. We want to take each and every one of you with us as we head into this new digital age.
