Jim, you are so right, there is much to do in Topeka! Please stop by the Mulvane Art Museum this Friday January 11th for the opening of a wonderful exhibit titled:31 Works of Art: The Rich Legacy of 40 Years of the Mulvane Women's Board and "Out of the Depths...": Works by French Expressionist Georges Rouault I'm sure you will be impressed with this fine art museum.

Having moved to Topeka only a few years ago, I can probably see more things it has to offer than some of those who have lived here forever and a day. One of my favorite places is Gage Park. It has so much to offer people from the Zoo to the parks to a place to walk/jog, as well as the beauty of all of the flowers during the warmer months. When my mom came to visit the first time, she wondered why every city didn't have a place like that & was in awe of it. Too, the library here is awesome. It has so many different programs that I'd think surely it reaches out to a vast variety of people. I also like that I can get all of my shopping done in one big swoop of the city without having to travel too far. Then there's all of the various trails in different parts of the city, not to mention all of the cultural attractions. To me, there's something here in this city for just about everyone. It just takes a little eye-opening and a little less critical thinking.

I think it is amazing just how many Topekans put Topeka down with their negative comments. Your comments are so truthful, very sad...but, oh so truthful. Topeka Civic Theatre and Academy is one of Topeka's biggest gems. Keep up the good work, Jim!

I think he is right on. I hope more people listen to his ideas.
