New KBI Director Named
A new director for the KBI has been named. He will take over his duties next month.

An assistant director is moving to the top ranks of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

Attorney General Paul Morrison is naming Bob Blecha to become the KBI's new director.

Blecha joined the bureau in 1979 and rises to the top after serving as Assistant Director for Field Investigations.

Blecha's vowing to fight internet crime and promote high tech crime fighting technology.

Blecha will assume command of the KBI when director Larry Welch retires next week.
