A Topeka man accused of being present during the killing of a 77-year-old retired Lawrence jeweler pleads guilty to felony murder.

But Leonard Wayne Price of Topeka still contends that he was not the triggerman in the April 2005 slaying of Clarence David Boose at Boose's home in Lecompton.

Prosecutors say they expect to file more charges in the case against another man who Price claimed in a hearing Tuesday shot Boose. Price said it was his cousin, Allen Smith, who actually killed Boose and that he was there when the shots were fired.

Price said he and Smith were in the home when Boose emerged from outside or the basement.

Under a plea agreement, Price will serve as a witness during any further court proceedings in the murder. In exchange for the plea, prosecutors agreed to drop the underlying charge of aggravated burglary.
