No Luck Finding Suspects in Lecompton Slaying
It's been almost seven months since retired Topeka jeweler Clarence David Boose was found slain in his Lecompton home.

It's been almost seven months since retired Topeka jeweler Clarence David Boose was found slain in his Lecompton home.

There have been no arrests and little is known about the investigation. But the Douglas County Sheriff's Department says it still has five deputies assigned to the case who have checked out at least 180 leads.

Deputies are not releasing details of what they've uncovered in their probe. Boose's 50-year-old son, Mark, said he talks with detectives at least once a week but they've instructed him not to disclose what they talk about.

A friend called police April 29 after finding Boose dead inside his ranch-style home, and an autopsy determined his death was a homicide.
