An Americus man convicted of molesting a young girl more than four years ago, goes back on trial Tuesday.

Our radio partner KVOE reports the Tuesday start of the re-trial for Kenneth Waddell.

The Kansas Court of Appeals overturned his 2003 conviction, they ruled the alleged victim only made videotaped statements.

That decision was upheld by the state Supreme Court late last year.

Lyon County District Court will the be the site of the new trial.

The alleged victim is expected to testify in open court.
