Wichita hospitals report more than a dozen people came to their ER's late Friday and early Saturday with fireworks-related injures.

Via Christi Saint Francis says 14 people showed up with various injuries. Four of those were serious enough to be admitted, while the others were treated for their injuries and released.

Wesley Medical Center reports two more people came into their ER with injuries from fireworks.

The most serious injury happened in Andover Friday night. Something went wrong at a professional fireworks display at Terradyne Country Club near Central and 159th Street East. There was a large explosion on the ground and a 40 year-old female was critically hurt. The unidentified person was rushed to a Wichita hospital, but her name has not been released.

What happened to the fireworks display at Lawrence Dumont Stadium..I was down there with friends and the display only lasted about 10 minutes..It was promoted as the biggest fireworks display, and I was very dissapointed along with a lot of other people..If there was a malfunction it was never spoke of on your news casts nor in the paper on Saturday...I hope next year is better

You should have called the cops right then and there. Parents sometimes don't know how to supervise their kids with fireworks, this sounds like an example of that.

i can understand. While walking home from the city fireworks (that were really bad) someone had their 5-8 year olds lighting roman candles. one hit a tree and fell to the ground inches away from my daughters stroller. I was more then upset!
