A family was forced out of their home after it caught fire overnight in Wichita.

Shortly after 4 a.m., flames ripped through the front part of a house in the 1100 Blk. of S. St. Francis. That's when three adults and a child fled through their back door to escape the fire. They were not hurt.

When firefighters arrived, they and neighbors saw the entire front of the house consumed in flames.

"The whole front of the house was engulfed in flames, ground up at least 25 feet," said neighbor Jason Williams.

It took fire crews 30 minutes to bring the flames under control. A cause is under investigation.
