It's Mommy Monday, and today's topic is about sex education in schools or through community organizations.

This has become a controversial subject. Here's some information from a recent study done by the Journal of Adolescent Health.

The study's major findings include teen girls who received sex ed had a 59 percent reduced risk before age 15, compared with those who did not get sex ed.

Teen boys who received sex ed had a 71 percent reduced risk of having sex before age 15, compared with boys who did not get sex ed.

You can watch Mommy Monday on "Good Morning Kansas."
