A vote allowing two coal-fired power plants near Holcomb is expected to head to vote in the Kansas House this morning.

The measure links the plants to other projects, including a proposed transportation hub in Johnson County.

Lawmakers are trying to attract a two-thirds majority in both chambers to override a veto. Governor Sebelius has already vetoed two previous bills over concerns about carbon dioxide emissions.

The Senate approved the bill last night.

since they didnt pass the three strikes bill on economic reasons, perhaps they should have a three strikes law on bills introduced and vetoed, vor economic reasons too.

the bill passed the house again, but six votes short of overriding a veto. will they do it again? is there enough money in the deep pockets to try again? how much taxpayer money are they willing to spend kicking a dead horse?

resourses? how about all the resourses used generating power for colorado? how about taxpayer money being used to pay for power plants for colorado? what about polution brought to our state because colorado is up to their limit? wouldnt it be shorter distance to ship the coal from wyoming to colorado? no, sets wallow in the filth brought to our state just because colorado dont want it, only the cheap power.

It is called resources, why do we grow wheat to SALE to other states? Pull your head out of the tree and let's get a way from the thought that everything that man does is wrong.

I still want to know why the legislature wants these plants when they arent even supposed to supply power to kansas. why must our tax money be used to build them for colorado? how much will our rates go up to pay for them, even though the power is for colorado?
