A Reno County man is dead from injuries he suffered when his motorcycle collided with a deer. 55-year-old Robert Crandall died early today in a Wichita hospital,

The Reno County Sheriff's Department said Crandall was riding on Pretty Prairie Road last night aroung 9:22 when a deer came out of the south ditch and collided with the motorcycle. The cycle carried the deer approximately 165 feet before coming to rest on the shoulder.

A medical helicopter was originally called for Crandall, but due to last night's weather conditions the helicopter was unable to fly.

Bob Crandall, was a good, caring, honest, hard working man. A man that loved to ride as much as he loved life. We will always love and remember him....

We have lost 5 motorcyclists in a weeks time. There are many heavy hearts in our biker community. Ride on our Brother! To the jackass that wondered about the deer...that comment was totally inconsiderate and you should be slapped right in your mouth.
