TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topekan residents dealing with non-healing wounds now have an advanced treatment center to aide in the healing process.
Saint Francis Health Center held an open house and blessing for their new Advanced Wound Center this evening.
The center helps patients dealing with wounds related to diabetes, osteomyelitis, post surgical complications and vascular problems.
They also use Hyperbaric Oxygen chamber, which fill with pure oxygen helping wounds heal that normally wouldn't heal on their own.
The wound center is open five days a week a requires a referral from a physician.
