NEW YORK (AP) _ There are those of us who just can't do without the Internet. There are those who can take it or leave it. And there are those who can just leave it, and don't miss it at all.

A new survey by the Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project says 15 percent of Americans, about 1 in 7, don't use the Internet at all. And of that number, most of them have no problem with not being online.

What's more, the idea of having Internet access at home is foreign to about 1 in 10 U.S. adults.

The Pew study finds 9 percent of American adults only use the Internet when they aren't at home.

Adults with lower levels of income and education, as well as blacks and Hispanics, are much more likely to rely on Internet access at their jobs, libraries or elsewhere.
